Workstation Cranes

Gorbel Workstation Cranes are enclosed track ERGONOMIC manual push/pull systems requiring one (1) lb of force to move 100 lbs of weight. They are available in freestanding and ceiling mounted systems. The systems increase SAFETY and PRODUCTIVITY and the ease of movement allows for easy load positioning. Bolt together construction makes installation easy and as your needs change so can your system; you can move or add at any point. These systems are ideal for work cells under large overhead cranes or in place of I-Beam cranes or jibs. Although the systems are manual push/pull they can be motorized for the appropriate application. If you’re looking for a low capacity motorized crane please ask us if spending the extra money is needed.

With the ability to span from 6 ft. to 34 ft. for bridges and up to 30 ft. for columns, these systems have lift capacities from 150 to 4000 lbs. Depending on your needs we have the workstation cranes that are sure to handle any project whether using a standard or customized system.

Gorbel cranes are customizable. Some of our options are Column Spacing, Cantilevered Column Headers, Extended Headers with Offset Bridges, Telescoping Bridges, Curves, Interlocks, Monorails, Mixed Capacity Systems, Multiple Bridge Systems, Extended Headers with Side by Side Bridges and Hybrid Systems. Floor Mounted Workstation Crane with Cantilevered Headers

Cantilevered columns are used when obstructions prevent a full header. Heavier capacities could require sway bracing back to the building as indicated by the blue pipe, above the header, on this 4,000 lb system.

A Multiple Bridge System with Manipulator Platform and Telescoping Bridge

Maintenance Gates are used when access is needed for a system that spans between two end obstructions. These allow for bridge removal in the middle of a system.

Workstation Crane Nested Trolley allows for additional vertical headroom

This system has 5 bridges at 500 lb capacity each to accommodate individual work cells. The customer requested the crane columns line up with the building columns which were on 45 feet centers. To accomplish this monorail was used as the runway and attached to I-beam rail. The crane columns were sized to accommodate an overhead 5-ton 45-foot span crane.

A 1,000 lb multi-bridge system. In order to prevent column obstructions, the bridges and runways were off-set on the header steel. The crane columns were tucked behind the building columns.
