Manipulators For Material Handling
Manipulators are available in jib crane mounted, column mounted, on overhead crane systems and as End Effectors on carts. There is also a portable base available for some lighter capacities. Manipulators are used to pick, rotate and place many products, and all end effectors are custom designed to fit the particular application. Manipulators can also handle rolls to odd shaped parts; these devices are safe and easy to use.
Manipulators allow the operator precise control when lifting, manipulating and placing loads. They can reach into machines and under or over obstructions where hoists can’t reach.
Manipulators have capacities from 50 to 500 lbs with a reach up to 10′. Custom capacities and spans are also available. Vertical travel varies depending on the height of your pick point. Parts can easily be removed from a pallet on the floor and placed into a CNC machine.
Manipulators are available in air, air/hydraulic, electric, and electric/hydraulic. Most have manual horizontal travel with motorized or air travel along the vertical column for easy placing of product.
