Vacuum Lifters
Vacuum Lifters operate on the presence of lower than ambient air pressure creating a powerful holding force against porous and non porous surfaces. The larger the contact area the greater the vacuum pressure and the higher the holding force. Properly designed vacuum tools can be used to lift and hold many tons. Flow is equally important especially when applied to porous surfaces such as cardboard or concrete pads.
Vacuum systems are designed to insure that more than twice the gripping force is available versus the payload weight, a minimum 2 to 1 safety factor. The same vacuum flow is used for gripping as well as lifting. If the gripper force can not be generated, such as on a cardboard box with a tear or hole, the load cannot be lifted.
In the event of power failure, a built-in vacuum safety valve enables the vacuum lifter to automatically lower the payload to the floor in a safe and controlled manner.
These lifters can be used for lifting sacks, boxes, drums, print logs, paving slabs, boards, rolls, drums, sheet products, kegs, granite, glass and many other products. Some lifters allow for rotation of the product.
If your application is the lifting of a single products or multiple products at once, there are lifters that can accomodate your application.
